This is my third drawing from Drawing II
an extremely different method than my prior drawings. This is based off of French neo-classical drawing.
A much more careful and soft drawing than the others. Also, i attempted to have the paper color act as the mid tone and the ground color.
Here are some close up photo’s of my second drawing from drawing II that i posted a little bit ago.
The white speckles on the front of the metal piece were added by dipping a toothbrush in white watercolor paint and then flicking it at my drawing. Scary.
Drawing II.
Watercolor sketches for drawing class.
something like 5x3 inches.
Group project for color theory. 12”X17”
Original painting is, La Prominade by Claude Monet
My section is the top left triangle. I had to do pointillism.
3D final project.
I had a ton of fun with this one. Its the Weathertop scene from The Lord of The Rings.
Its made from Super Sculpey and wood. The raiths are about 9 inches tall, Frodo is about 5 inches tall, and the arches are around 10 inches.
Its supposed to be show emphasis on Frodo.
Music I have been enjoying lately.
Undark and the Radium Girls Wintermoths
Darkwoods Flesh Forest and The Elephant Only Zoo
Not my art, but art that helps me make art.
COLOR THEORY.
This had to use color harmony. Acrylic on bristol. 12x17in. We had to choose a song, poem, literature, or pattern and paint how it made us feel, or something. i chose one of my brothers poems, why, then, do not you die. I dont think i really captured it, but its just color theory class.
Check out Zacks poetry though.
Just finished up my third 3d project. I had a lot of fun with this one. Pictures dont do it any justice.
We built armature models out of armature wire then added tin foil and finally super sculpey. altogether it is about 9 inches tall
We had to take a sculpture from the past and transform it into what we saw. i chose Laocoon and his sons for my original sculpture. i saw a vocalist for a hardcore punk band.
I used images mainly of Mike Doolan and Tobias Mcgunnigle for reference. I also looked at some pictures of Mike from Beartrap and Ross from Ceremony.
Foundation studies contest reception was today. I got a certificate, a bunch of free art supplies, and $100 gift card to my school store. Very Neat.
The second picture is of my drawing professor and I standing with one of my drawings.
